As the school year gets under way, I want to encourage you to communicate with Phil, Carla, me, or any other member of our faculty team whenever you have a question, concern or idea. We're serious about community, and that means we're serious about communication. Let me tell you a brief story. When we opened CMC Decatur, we heard from many moms and dads who were excited about our unique and effective approach to music education, but who could not find a feasible way to squeeze the training into an already jam-packed, busy family schedule. Transportation and logistics became a hindrance for our ability to reach students and to grow. AMP was our response. My point: parents in our community needed us to find a creative solution, and we did. The very existence of AMP is a testimony to the value we place on feedback. Responsiveness is still one of our core values, and we hope you will bend our ears when you need or want to. (Believe me, your children bend our ears in many interesting ways already...)
