Javier Albo is a musicologist and a pianist who currently teaches Music History at Georgia State University. He has a Ph.D in musicology from the City University of New York, with a dissertation on the reception of the music of Chopin. He has also a M.A. in piano performance from the Conservatory of Madrid. A native of Spain, his interests include nineteenth-century piano literature and opera, twentieth-century music, theory, and jazz.
