Decatur AMP : a music enrichment program, after school from 3:00 to 6:30 pm, at the Decatur Music Center. It's a unique program that empowers kids to grow and to express themselves through music.
Decatur AMP, which begins August 2 at the Decatur Music Center, is a safe and fun choice for families. Parents can trust their children are somewhere beneficial, and kids learn new skills in an inspiring program. AMP is designed and staffed by our faculty of professional music educators for students in grades K-6. (Upper and lower elementary tracks available.)
AMP enrollment fees include enrollment in the Music Center’s Core Program, which includes:
Weekly 30 to 45-minute private lessons in voice or the instrument of choice
Two or three Comprehensive Musicianship Program courses or workshops per week, including drumming, singing, music recording, and more
Performance Program enrollment: participate in small classical, jazz, rock, or roots ensembles or a music theater troupe
And free access to Berklee PULSE, a content-rich online learning system developed by the Berklee College of Music for students in Berklee City Music Network schools and program
Sample Daily Schedule
3:00 to 3:45 Healthy snacks (provided by us), outdoor play (weather permitting), recreation and relaxation
3:45 to 5:45 Activity Periods, including Core Program participation (lessons, classes, small ensemble), homework support, and art projects
Fee is $112.50 per week (or roughly $450 per month), per student, which includes Core Program tuition, snacks, and art supplies.
Enrollment is limited and offered on a first come/first served basis. Two-weeks of fees will be required to hold a position in AMP. Register here for Decatur AMP
