"We are delighted to be affiliated with Berklee and like-minded institutions from around the country through the Berklee City Music Network, and we look forward to increasing the impact of our music outreach to students in Atlanta through our membership." Diana Orozco, CMC Atlanta Founder and Director
The Berklee City Music Network connects programs and schools that focus on providing contemporary music education and mentoring to under served urban youth with Berklee and one another. Like other members from around the country, the CMC Atlanta enrolls motivated and talented students who might not otherwise find ready access to the life-changing experience of studying music in a rigorous and supportive program. The Music Center provides scholarship support to eligible individuals and reaches many more students through ongoing collaborative programs with organizations like the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (or CPACS), the Global Village School, and Grady High School.
Membership in the Berklee City Music Network provides students in member schools and programs free access to Berklee PULSE (a rich online educational system developed in Boston), opportunities for member programs to collaborate with Berklee-affiliated musicians and educators, scholarships for students to attend Berklee's 5-week summer performance program, and special consideration for students from member programs and schools to attend Berklee College of Music with scholarship support.
